WiFi QR Code Generator

Share WiFi — scan to join.

Runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded, logged, or tracked.

Make a QR code that joins your WiFi with a tap — enter the network name (SSID), password and security type, and guests scan it to connect without ever seeing or typing the password. The QR is generated and rendered entirely in your browser; nothing is uploaded. Print it and stick it on the fridge.

Where do I find my network name & password?

The sticker on your router usually lists the default network name (SSID) and password (sometimes labelled “key” or “PIN”).

On a Mac: open Keychain Access, search your Wi-Fi name, double-click it, and tick “Show password” (you’ll enter your Mac password).

On Windows: Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → your network → View Wi-Fi security key — or run netsh wlan show profile name="YOUR-WIFI" key=clear and read the “Key Content” line.

On iPhone/Android: Settings → Wi-Fi → tap your network → the password may be shown (or use the phone’s own “Share Wi-Fi” QR if it has one).

Tip: the QR contains your password in plain text — anyone who scans the image can join. Print it for guests, but don’t post it publicly.

Frequently asked questions

How does scanning connect to WiFi?

The QR encodes a standard WIFI: string that iOS and Android camera apps recognise — scanning it offers to join the network automatically. No app needed.

Is my WiFi password sent anywhere?

No. The QR is generated locally in your browser; the password never leaves your device. (Don’t share the image publicly, though — it contains the password.)

Which security types are supported?

WPA/WPA2/WPA3 (the common case), WEP, and open (no password) networks. Hidden networks are supported too.

These tools never phone home — the same principle as RVNT itself: a post-quantum, end-to-end-encrypted, peer-to-peer messenger with no servers and no tracking.
